There are some adventures at the end of this trip as you can either “portage your kayak” around the spillway or choose to ride over the spill way; conditions permitting! It’s a much-talked-about thrill by kayakers in this area! Our scheduled departures are from Fannie Pell Park in Plainwell to the launch site on “D” Avenue at; 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 PM, 1 PM & 2 PM Friday –Sunday. Special Trips
We will offer special trips for groups or individuals throughout the season. We can offer these on week days when we are not open for regular business. Our business depends on team building and family trips on these special booking days!
In 2024 we anticipate a wonderful “Nature Trip” beginning in Parchment which would allow kayakers to experience a blue heron rookery and numerous eagles and nests located by the Kalamazoo Nature Center. The launch site is pending development.
